I had absolutely no desire to move to the USA, even though my
dad had lived here since I was very young and was always asking me to come over
“for a holiday.” My then husband, also
English, convinced me in the 1990’s that we should definitely give it a
go. And the rest, as they say, is
history.
At that time my children were very young (2 and 7) and they have grown up “Yank.”
We tried to give them a typically British
upbringing, but with all the outside influences, they are now bilingual. *smile*
I currently live in Riverside, a city about 60 miles east of
Los Angeles with my American fiancé husband and my crazy, crazy dog, Charlie.

[Update: We now have a new puppy, Spencer, who is turning out to be just as crazy as Charlie *sigh*]
After 20 years you would have thought I would have got used to the mysterious ways of American life, but no – I still get perplexed every now and again and I STILL get in the wrong side of the car occasionally (damn it!)

And that it what my blog is about. Me, my life, my experiences, my moaning,
ranting and raving. A little bit of
everything really.

And in case you were looking at my name and email address and were wondering – yes, I am an absolutely huge Chelsea fan! Before moving here I would follow them all around the country. Unfortunately they only began to get "good" when I left.
